INDEPENDENT PROCUREMENT REVIEW REPORTS

The Independent Procurement Review Division was established pursuant to Section 2-603(5) of the City Charter. The division has developed detailed procedures and testing methods and worked with the chief procurement officer and the law department to ensure that the methods are transparent and consistent with our legislative requirements. The division reviews procurement records of solicitations with an aggregate value of $1 million or more to note areas of concern and corrective actions taken before the City Council considers legislation to approve contracts. Ordinance 19-O-1729 amended the city charter to move the Independent Procurement Review Unit to the newly created Office of the Inspector General.
